Pakistani websites hacked by Indian hackers on Independence Day

Pakistan is celebrating it’s 70th year of independence this year. The country celebrated with much fanfare . Even our neighbour India joined in the celebrations by presenting a beautiful rendition of the national anthem . However some Indian hackers tried to put a damper on the celebrations by hacking government sites. Many sites including the sites of federal Cabinet, law and IT ministries, were hacked. “Happy Independence Day-August 15” was the message left by hackers on the Cabinet’s official portal, referring to India’ Independence Day the next day.

They also added a photo of Indian army hoisting an Indian flag on the Siachen glacier.

A group identified as Lulzec India has claimed responsibility for the hack.
