On Saturday , the two leading opposition parties PTI and MQM-P decided to choose a new leader of opposition in the national assembly.
PTI Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi spoke with MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar on the phone where the two leaders decided to have a meeting soon.
A PTI delegation headed by Qureshi and including Asad Umer, Imran Ismail and Firdous Naqvi will meet MQM-P leaders on September 26.
During the course of this meeting , a new name will be decided to become the leader of the opposition on the national assembly.
Sources said the two parties have made the decision in view of National Accountability Bureau Chairman Chaudhry Qamar Zaman retiring next month. Current leader of the opposition Khursheed Shah is well aware of the decision of parties to replace him and has talked about this topic in the media too.
