General Qamar Bajwa attended the ongoing multinational exercise ‘ACES Meet 2017’ at the Air Power Centre of Excellence (ACE) during his visit to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) base Mushaf Sargodha, Punjab.
According to the (ISPR), contingents of the Royal Saudi Airforce and Turkish Airforce also took part in the exercise.This two-week long exercise will see a total of eight countries taking part in it. The COAS was told about the ACE training facility as well as the implications of the exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to promote mutual cooperation between the air forces of different countries so new concepts in counter-terrorism can be discovered.
Gen Qamar appreciated the contributions that the PAF has made to ensure that Pakistan keeps fighting terrorism.
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said the current global security situation coupled with the changing dynamics of warfare calls for an enhanced partnership among armed forces.
