Maryam Nawaz gets a taste of her own medicine.

Pakistani politicians use more of social networking website ‘Twitter’ to make statements, rather than traditional mediums. It’s common among the high officials, celebrities to seek Twitter as a means to convey their thoughts and messages.

While some make major blunders in the process of being a socialite.

Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz fell prey to this blunder when she was schooled by two Pulitzer prize-winning journalists on the global impact and nature of Panama Papers scandal.

She claimed the Panama Papers, which shook the absolute most capable open office holders in a few nations, had been “trashed in the rest of the world”.

She re-tweeted on that statement that the scandal was “never about corruption”.

Out of the blue, Bastian Obermayer‏ — a Pulitzer-winning journalist from German distribution Süddeutsche Zeitung. Who was the first to get the Panama Papers and who in the long run led the pack in breaking the story universally — stepped in to set the record straight.
“Sorry to tell you,” he said, “but the Panama papers ARE about corruption.”

Maryam replied saying that the “misery of the journalists” who broke the Panama story “is understandable”.

Later Frederik Obermaier‏, another Pulitzer-winning journalist working on the Panama Papers and who co-authored the authoritative book on the international scandal with Bastian Obermayer, joined the conversation.
He reminded Maryam that the scandal had not been as inconsequential as she believed.
