PM keeping mum about Nisar being in the new cabinet

Pakistan’s newly elected Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi remained silent when asked if Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar would be a part of his new cabinet. He remarked that the new cabinet would be formed in a day or two.

“The federal cabinet’s oath-taking has been postponed. Discussions are under way for the new cabinet and the new ministers will take oath in a day or two,” he told reporters after a meeting with the party leadership in Murree.

Abbasi said that former PM Nawaz Sharif had instructed him to double his pace on working on CPEC projects.

“We have to show that though the prime minister has changed our policies remain the same,” he added.

The oath-taking ceremony of the federal Cabinet, scheduled to be held at 5:30pm in Islamabad on Wednesday, was postponed.

The postponement of the ceremony came after newly elected PM Abbasi met former PM Nawaz in Murree .

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present during the meeting
