Three Indian soldiers killed by firing by Pakistani troops

Three Indian soldiers lost their lives when Pakistani army responded to an LOC ceasefire violation.

“Indian army today targeted innocent civilians in Gheekot and Mandal villages of Lipa sector where civilians were preparing for Friday prayers,” the ISPR said in a statement. “One young boy martyred, four civilians injured.”

On Wednesday, the Pakistani Army killed five people of the Indian troops including a serviceman in retaliation of an unprovoked violation of ceasefire terms by the Indian army.

Army, the communique added, effectively responded, killing three Indian soldiers and injuring many. “Three Indian posts [were also] destroyed,” it said.

The military expressed the resolve that it “stands by its innocent civil population and would continue to respond befittingly.”

Pakistan recently summoned India’s deputy high commissioner to lodge a complaint in protest of ceasefire violations by Indian forces.
