UCP students visit army units at Garrison

Students and faculty members from the University of Central Punjab visited various military units and formations of Pakistan Army.

Students and faculty members from the University of Central Punjab spent a day out visiting various military units and formations of Pakistan Army at Lahore Garrison on Thursday.

This trip was designed as a part of the program that is supposed to enlighten students about the routine functioning of the army as well as the Pakistan Army’s defence capability.

The event commenced with a wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to remember all those martyred in the service of their country.

The students visited a field formation and had an informal interaction with officers and soldiers, the statement read.

Later on the students also witnessed arms and equipment display including small arms fire at the firing ranges.

The programme ended with a flag-lowering ceremony at Wahga border. The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of army and expressed their gratitude for being provided a life time experience and opportunity
