Islamabad: There is a possibility of a reduction of 70 paise per unit in electricity prices for one month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nepra will hold a hearing today on the request to make electricity cheaper, Chairman Nepra Waseem Mukhtar along with the authority members will hold a public hearing on the request.<\/p>\n

According to officials, CPPA has submitted a request for monthly fuel adjustment for September, the decision to reduce electricity prices will be issued by the Nepra Authority after the hearing.<\/p>\n

According to the sources, consumers will get the relief of a reduction in November bills.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the prices of petrol and diesel are likely to decrease.<\/p>\n

From November 1, there is a possibility of a reduction in the prices of petroleum products by 2 to 3 rupees per liter for the next fifteen days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The average prices of petrol and high-speed diesel in the global market decreased by about 1.5 dollars and 2.5 dollars per barrel. According to the current tax rates and exchange rate, petrol and diesel prices may decrease by Rs 3 and Rs 2 30 paise per liter.<\/p>\n

In the global market, the average price of petrol per barrel came to 76 dollars compared to 77.5 dollars, while the price of high-speed diesel per barrel decreased from 86.5 dollars to 84 dollars per barrel.<\/p>\n

During the current 15 days, the import premium on both petrol and diesel remained stable at $8.7 and $5 per barrel.<\/p>\n
