In a recent development, former federal minister and PTI leader Azam Swati has been transferred to an unknown location by Taxila police. According to details, Swati, who was incarcerated at the District Jail Attock, was released today on bail following a court order. However, he was immediately re-arrested outside the jail.<\/p>\n

After his arrest, Azam Swati was taken to an undisclosed location by the police.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that the court granted Azam Swati bail in eight cases, ordering his immediate release. The Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain heard the bail applications concerning cases registered against Swati related to financial support for the D-Chowk protest, with Prosecutor Raja Naved and Swati\u2019s lawyer Sohail Advocate appearing in court.<\/p>\n

Prosecutor Raja Naved opposed Swati\u2019s bail, but the court granted post-arrest bail in eight cases against a surety of 20,000 rupees each.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court heard a case against the physical remand given to former Senator Azam Swati after court hours, presided over by Justices Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Arbab Muhammad Tahir.<\/p>\n

The explanation provided by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain stated that all records of the cases had been requested and questioned the appropriateness of a physical remand if granted at 6:30 PM, acknowledging that the process for 13 cases takes time.<\/p>\n

During the hearing, the Registrar’s Office submitted an inquiry report regarding the issuance of notices to the parties involved. Justice Hassan Aurangzeb inquired about the actions the prosecutor general would take regarding their office. However, the Islamabad prosecutor general responded that he had checked but had not received any notices.
