Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lost confidence in Defense Minister Yoaf Gallant after the war in Gaza dragged on.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Reuters news agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed Defense Minister Yoaf Gallant from his post due to lack of confidence and appointed former Foreign Minister Israel Katz as Defense Minister.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Israeli army launched attacks in northern Gaza while issuing new evacuation orders. According to Al Jazeera, Palestinian medical officials say at least 54 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli attacks on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued by Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli Prime Minister has appointed Gideon Sa\u2019ar as the Foreign Minister. There has been tension between Prime Minister Netanyahu, who belongs to the right-wing Likud party, and the former Defense Minister regarding the objectives of the ongoing 13-month war in Gaza.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Netanyahu said that Gallant made statements that contradicted the decisions of the government and the cabinet. At the same time, Gallant noted that the security of the State of Israel has always been and will remain the mission of my life.<\/p>\n

In September, there were reports that Netanyahu was considering firing the defense minister under pressure from far-right allies.<\/p>\n
