An Indian Sikh judge set a precedent by sentencing a Muslim accused.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incident took place in April 2010 when the autorickshaw of a man named Rauf Khan collided with a parked motorcycle and the two got into an argument, the police alleged that Rauf Khan abused the complainant and hit him with a knife, injuring him.<\/p>\n<p>Thirteen years later, Magistrate Tejwant Singh Sindhu, while pronouncing the verdict in the case, ordered Rauf Umar to plant 2 trees in the premises of the mosque located at the site of the accident and take care of them instead of punishing him under Section 323.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Tejwant Singh Sindhu, who delivered the verdict, ordered the 30-year-old accused Rauf Umar Khan to offer five daily prayers regularly for the next 21 days.<\/p>\n<p>The judge also stated in the verdict that the accused will take care of 2 planted crosses in a nearby mosque as an atonement for his actions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Malegaon, Maharashtra, India, the judge handed down a unique punishment for assaulting and fighting.
