Islamabad: Meteorologists have warned that due to global climate change, Karachi’s weather is under serious threat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to details, ongoing global climate change is rapidly deteriorating Karachi\u2019s weather. With each passing year, the city\u2019s temperature is rising to alarming levels, and the effects are becoming increasingly evident.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that since 2015, multiple heat records have been broken in Karachi, and over the past decade, the temperature rise in the city has been ten times higher than the global average.<\/p>\n

Experts have warned that Karachi may face even more intense heatwaves in the coming years. An abnormal and concerning increase in temperature has been recorded over the last decade, which signals danger for the future.<\/p>\n

In 2015, during a severe heatwave, the temperature soared to 44.8 degrees Celsius, while the heat index crossed a dangerous threshold, reaching 66 degrees.<\/p>\n

Similar intense heat was observed in 2024. According to experts, since 1960, Karachi\u2019s average temperature has increased by 2.25 degrees Celsius \u2014 approximately 0.38 degrees per decade \u2014 which is ten times higher than the global average.<\/p>\n

Data shows a rise of 2.4 degrees Celsius in nighttime temperatures and 1.6 degrees Celsius during the day.<\/p>\n

Experts say Karachi will continue to face severe heatwaves in the future, while the growing population, urban concrete expansion, and continuous loss of trees are further worsening the situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
