A conversation between an Indian Hindu citizen and two Kashmiri women in Pahalgam, occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has surfaced, reflecting the region\u2019s public sentiment and firm stance against Indian dominance. The discussion was recorded when the Indian man questioned elderly women about an alleged terrorist attack in Kashmir.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the conversation, the Indian man repeatedly attempted to assert that \u201cWe are citizens of India, we are one, Kashmir is part of India, say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.\u201d However, the Kashmiri women firmly rejected his claims. One woman replied, \u201cKashmir belongs to Kashmiris, India is separate.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the man insisted they say \u201cBharat Mata Ki Jai,\u201d the women strictly refused, explaining, \u201cWe are Muslims, we cannot say that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Indian citizen continued, saying, \u201cIndia has Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, all communities, Kashmir is a part of India, we stand with Kashmiris, India is yours too, say Bharat Mata Ki Jai.\u201d Yet the women maintained their refusal to chant the slogan.<\/p>\n

Towards the end of the conversation, the Indian man reiterated, \u201cKashmir is part of India and will remain so,\u201d to which a Kashmiri woman responded, \u201cKashmir is separate, India is separate.\u201d When he again asked, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you say \u2018Bharat Mata Ki Jai\u2019?\u201d the woman replied, \u201cWhy should we? We are Muslims.\u201d<\/p>\n

Defense analysts commenting on the exchange stated that it proves India\u2019s occupation over Jammu and Kashmir and that the Kashmiri people do not identify themselves as part of India.
