Individuals associated with the auto industry and car dealers have expressed concern over the decision and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the green tax.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Car dealers state that the imposition of the green tax on hybrid vehicles has led to a price hike of 3 to 5 percent, affecting consumers\u2019 purchasing power and adding to the already quiet showrooms. According to them, the auto industry is already facing multiple challenges, and such measures will further increase the pressure on the sector.<\/p>\n

The Car Dealers Association claims that due to this new tax, the price of some hybrid vehicles could rise by up to Rs 500,000, which would place a severe financial burden on the average consumer. They argue that if the government genuinely aims to promote eco-friendly technology, it should provide subsidies for such vehicles instead of imposing taxes.<\/p>\n

Individuals involved in the automobile business also state that while the government\u2019s policy appears to encourage eco-friendly vehicles, the imposition of taxes practically restricts their sales, highlighting a contradiction between policy and implementation.
