In the Punjab Assembly, 26 opposition members have been suspended following their intense protest during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz\u2019s speech.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Assembly Secretariat, the suspension was made under Assembly Rule 210(3), under which the members have been barred from attending the next fifteen sessions.<\/p>\n

The Speaker, while delivering the ruling, stated that the opposition engaged in chaos, sloganeering, scuffling, and tearing official documents during the previous session\u2014acts deemed against the decorum and discipline of the House. He emphasized that while protest is the right of every member, it must remain within the bounds of the Constitution, law, and parliamentary rules.<\/p>\n

Referring to international parliamentary traditions, the Speaker remarked that such disorderly conduct cannot be considered parliamentary behavior and that discipline in the House will be strictly maintained.<\/p>\n

Suspended members include Malik Fahad Masood, Muhammad Tanveer Aslam, Syed Raft Mehmood, Yasir Mehmood, Kaleem Ullah, Ansar Iqbal, Ali Asif, Zulfiqar Ali, Ahmad Mujtaba, Imtiaz Mehmood, Ali Imtiaz, Muhammad Ijaz Shafi, Sajjad Ahmad, and others.<\/p>\n

This action was taken after opposition members disrupted the previous day\u2019s session by creating a ruckus during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz\u2019s speech.
