Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stated that every citizen living in Pakistan, regardless of their religion or belief, is an equal Pakistani and holds the same importance for the state.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his special message, Naqvi said that Pakistan was founded on the golden principles of Islam\u2014justice, equality, and tolerance\u2014and it will always stand on these foundations. He added that the protection of minorities\u2019 lives, property, beliefs, and freedom of worship is not only a constitutional obligation but also a part of the state\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that Islam prohibits coercion, teaches freedom of belief, and upholds respect for humanity, which form the basis for the protection of minorities. Referring to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah\u2019s speech on August 11, 1947, he noted that all citizens of Pakistan hold equal status, and the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the fundamental rights of minorities.<\/p>\n

Naqvi further stated that minorities in Pakistan participate in national development with dignity, equality, and inclusion, and their contributions are a source of pride. Minorities have rendered outstanding services in education, health, defense, and politics\u2014contributions that are a shining chapter in the nation\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that patriotism, service, and character are the defining measures of national identity, and Pakistan does not condone discrimination. The state always prioritizes the protection of minorities\u2019 lives, property, and sacred sites, whether through the renovation of places of worship or the provision of security for religious events.<\/p>\n

The interior minister said that even in times of conflict, keeping the Kartarpur Corridor and Nankana Sahib open and secure is practical proof of Pakistan\u2019s commitment to peace, love, and interfaith harmony. Minorities are given their full rights because they are equal heirs of the state.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed that Pakistan\u2019s policy, intentions, and actions are united, and there will be no compromise on the protection, freedom, and participation of minorities.
