Lahore: Senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has claimed that opposition lawmakers themselves contacted him and offered to cast their votes in his favor. Speaking to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly, he said such behavior from PTI\u2019s ranks reflects a lack of confidence in their own party.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cTen to twelve members of PTI were ready to vote for me. I never reached out to them; they approached me on their own. In fact, I told them not to vote for me but to support their own candidate,\u201d Sanaullah explained.<\/p>\n

He accused PTI and its founder of pursuing what he described as an \u201cundemocratic and unpolitical\u201d approach. According to him, the former PTI chairman and his followers are not interested in constructive politics but only in creating chaos and division in the country.<\/p>\n

Sanaullah also criticized PTI for promoting what he called a culture of abuse and disrespect. \u201cIt is perhaps for the first time in our political history that a leader deliberately made \u2018oye-toye\u2019 and name-calling part of his political strategy,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

The PML-N leader pointed out that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made repeated attempts to invite the opposition to dialogue and national reconciliation. \u201cBut instead of responding positively, PTI\u2019s leadership chose to reject every offer of talks,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

While condemning the recent incident involving Aleema Khan, Sanaullah clarified that their disagreements with PTI remain political, not personal. He emphasized that Imran Khan, despite being in jail, is being given his legal rights. \u201cOur grievance with PTI is that they institutionalized rudeness and made mudslinging a permanent feature of politics,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
