Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that if she is being treated as a criminal merely for conveying her brother\u2019s message, then tomorrow the entire nation could be targeted in the same way. She emphasized that this is not just a personal matter but one that concerns the constitutional right to freedom of expression.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking to the media outside the court, Aleema Khan said that filing cases against people simply because their words are not liked is unconstitutional. She questioned how a media talk can be considered \u201cterrorism\u201d and stated that this legal point has been challenged in court.<\/p>\n

Aleema clarified that the allegations against her are not about any violence or agitation but simply for passing Imran Khan\u2019s message to around 10 to 15 journalists and YouTubers. She added that if the media disseminated the same message to the public, then by that logic, the media should also be named in the case, as the law should apply equally to everyone.<\/p>\n

She further said that their top priority remains Imran Khan and the legal cases against him. \u201cWe visit the jail to meet him and appear in trials, and in return, warrants are issued against us. This oppressive atmosphere is being legally challenged in the courts,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Aleema Khan highlighted that she and other party members are facing 60 to 70 cases, with warrants being issued alternately from Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
