The decision was announced following a review of the utility\u2019s multi-year tariff petitions for the fiscal years 2024 to 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1755\" data-end=\"2010\">According to NEPRA\u2019s decision, K-Electric\u2019s average tariff has been reduced from Rs 39.97 per unit to Rs 32.37 per unit. This reduction will apply to all segments of the company\u2019s operations, including generation, transmission, distribution, and supply.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2012\" data-end=\"2332\">The decision also stated that NEPRA\u2019s previous stance on the right of claims remains unchanged. Although the tariff has been significantly reduced, a burden of Rs 50 billion under the right of claims has been maintained to ensure that the company\u2019s financial requirements and future development plans are not affected.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2334\" data-end=\"2624\">A K-Electric spokesperson said the company is reviewing the decision in detail and assessing its legal and operational implications.
