{"id":17181,"date":"2025-11-04T14:37:34","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T09:37:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=17181"},"modified":"2025-11-04T14:37:34","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T09:37:34","slug":"ac-gas-explosion-in-supreme-court-canteen-injures-12-in-islamabad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=17181","title":{"rendered":"AC Gas Explosion in Supreme Court Canteen Injures 12 in Islamabad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>At least 12 people were injured due to a blast during the air conditioner repair in the basement of the Supreme Court of Pakistan\u2019s building on Tuesday, sources said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, the Inspector-General (IG) of the Islamabad Police stated that three of the injured were transferred to PIMS Hospital, while nine were taken to the Polyclinic.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>According to the IG, gas leakage had been occurring in the canteen for several days, and the explosion took place during maintenance work on the air conditioner.<\/p>\n<p>He added that most of the injured were AC technicians, one of whom suffered burns on nearly 80 percent of his body.<\/p>\n<p>Immediately after the blast, court authorities ordered the evacuation of all individuals inside the building.<\/p>\n<p>Police and security agencies are currently assessing the impact of the explosion.<\/p>\n<p>Immediately after the blast, the area surrounding the Supreme Court was sealed, and both court staff and visitors were shifted to safe locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least 12 people were injured due to a blast during the air conditioner repair in the basement of the Supreme Court of Pakistan\u2019s building on Tuesday, sources said.
