All public schools in these areas will remain closed for two and a half months starting December 16. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the official notification, winter holidays will run from December 23, 2025, to January 11, 2026, while academic activities will resume on January 13, marking the beginning of the new academic year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"3109\">Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Charsadda district, school timings have been changed following a tragic accident caused by dense fog. All schools will now operate from 9 AM to 2 PM, while Friday timings will be limited to 9 AM to 12 PM. The decision was taken after a school van collided with a truck, resulting in the death of two children and injuries to 21 others. The deputy commissioner stated that the adjustment in timings was made in the interest of student safety.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3111\" data-end=\"3405\">In another incident, a major fire broke out in the Kaghan bazaar, reducing a 50-room hotel to ashes. Rescue officials reported that the fire spread rapidly, destroying most of the structure and belongings.
