The leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been clearly warned that any form of derogatory campaign, criticism, or defamation against the Pakistan Army or its top military command\u2014whether through Imran Khan or PTI\u2019s social media machinery\u2014will no longer be tolerated under any circumstances.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a senior party source, the message was conveyed with exceptional firmness, making it clear that the situation has reached the point of \u201cenough is enough.\u201d The source revealed that although criticism of the military leadership has been ongoing for nearly three years, the institution has now drawn a definitive line, leaving no space for further attacks. Reportedly, the tone of this latest communication was far tougher and more explicit than previous warnings.<\/p>\n

The recent jail meeting between Imran Khan and his sister Uzma Khanum has also heightened tensions. The meeting, facilitated by a few federal ministers and a key parliamentary figure, backfired after Uzma Khanum\u2019s subsequent statements created embarrassment for those who arranged the interaction. The issue became a central topic of discussion within PTI\u2019s parliamentary circles, where several senior leaders expressed deep disappointment. Many of them privately stressed that Imran Khan\u2019s family members must act with extreme caution and refrain from repeating aggressive statements publicly\u2014especially at a time when the party is seeking political space and dialogue.<\/p>\n

Sources further disclosed that some PTI leaders have been briefed in categorical terms about how the party\u2019s social media apparatus is operated\u2014who controls it, how messaging is crafted, how content is approved, and how it ultimately gets disseminated through Imran Khan\u2019s accounts and other digital channels. One insider stated that from this point onward, no criticism of the military or its top leadership will be tolerated, and this directive has been communicated to the party leadership without any ambiguity.<\/p>\n

A prevailing view within PTI\u2019s parliamentary ranks is that political dialogue is the only viable pathway to resolving the current crisis. However, many members also acknowledge that Imran Khan\u2019s recent statements and the confrontational tone of PTI\u2019s social media are major obstacles to any potential breakthrough. One source remarked that just as the state adopted a no leniency approach after the events of May 9, the same zero-tolerance policy will now apply to any anti-military rhetoric.<\/p>\n

A PTI Member of the National Assembly stated that even if Imran Khan says something in emotional stress, those around him\u2014especially his sisters\u2014should avoid repeating such remarks publicly.
