Prime Minister\u2019s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah<\/span><\/span> has said that the 18th Amendment was passed through national consensus, but it can be improved again through mutual agreement, as the Constitution provides ample space for reform and improvement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rana Sanaullah said that a thorough investigation should be conducted into the fire incident at Karachi\u2019s Gul Plaza to determine who approved the construction of its floors and when they were built, stressing that full accountability in the matter is essential.<\/p>\n

Commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, he said that Imran Khan had previously used every meeting against the state and institutions, but the court has now clearly defined the procedure for meetings, which must be followed.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that district governments must be empowered, as strengthening local governments is a constitutional requirement, adding that public issues cannot be effectively resolved unless authority is devolved to the district level.<\/p>\n

Referring to Khawaja Asif\u2019s statement, the prime minister\u2019s adviser said that every member of the assembly has the right to express personal opinions, and it is inappropriate to stop anyone from speaking. He clarified that Khawaja Asif had expressed a personal view, not party policy.<\/p>\n
