Among them was a resolution moved by MQM member Anil Kumar, which called for a complete ban on the purchase and sale of liquor across the province and the cancellation of all liquor shop licences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the debate, Sindh Law and Home Minister Zia Lanjar opposed the resolution, stating that such a ban would deprive a large segment of society. He remarked that his colleagues appeared somewhat emotional today, after which the House rejected the resolution.<\/p>\n<p>The Assembly also dismissed two additional resolutions presented by MQM member Quratulain Khan.
