The playoff positions for the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League have now been fully determined, as the final league match played a decisive role in setting the order of the top teams and shaping the upcoming fixtures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a crucial match held at the National Bank Stadium, Islamabad United<\/span><\/span> defeated Multan Sultans<\/span><\/span> by 4 wickets to secure the second position on the points table, earning a place in the qualifier stage.<\/p>\n

Although the four teams qualifying for the playoffs had already been decided earlier, when tournament debutants Hyderabad Kings Men<\/span><\/span> defeated Rawalpindis<\/span><\/span> by a massive margin of 108 runs, the match played on Sunday remained highly significant for both Islamabad United and Multan Sultans as the final top two positions depended on its outcome.<\/p>\n

In this important encounter, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan<\/span><\/span> won the toss and opted to field first, while Multan Sultans posted a competitive total of 192 runs for the loss of 7 wickets through a collective team effort.<\/p>\n

While chasing, Islamabad United delivered an impressive performance and successfully reached the target of 193 runs with the loss of 6 wickets, achieving victory with 8 balls remaining and confirming their second-place finish.<\/p>\n

Following this win, Islamabad United will now face Peshawar Zalmi<\/span><\/span>, who are at the top of the table, in the qualifier scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue, while Multan Sultans have dropped to third place after the defeat.<\/p>\n

Multan Sultans will now take on Hyderabad Kings Men in Eliminator 1, which is set to be played on Wednesday at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where both teams will compete to stay alive in the tournament.<\/p>\n

The winner of the qualifier between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will directly advance to the final, while the losing team will get another opportunity by facing the winner of Eliminator 1 in Eliminator 2 on May 1 in Lahore.<\/p>\n

The winner of Eliminator 2 will then meet the qualifier winner in the grand final scheduled for May 3 in Lahore, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.<\/p>\n
