{"id":22055,"date":"2026-05-25T17:34:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T12:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=22055"},"modified":"2026-05-25T17:34:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T12:34:11","slug":"severe-heatwave-alert-issued-in-sindh-as-temperatures-may-reach-50c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=22055","title":{"rendered":"Severe Heatwave Alert Issued in Sindh as Temperatures May Reach 50\u00b0C"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a severe heatwave alert for Sindh, warning that temperatures in several districts of the province may rise up to 50 degrees Celsius.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Meteorological Department, the high-pressure area present in the upper atmosphere over Sindh is expected to strengthen further from tomorrow, which may result in moderate to severe heatwave conditions across most districts until May 31.<\/p>\n<p>The department has advised the public, especially children, women, and elderly people, to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, and increase water intake.<\/p>\n<p>Farmers have also been advised to ensure proper care and protection of crops and livestock according to the prevailing weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that temperatures in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, and several other districts may range between 47 and 50 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, temperatures in Tharparkar, Badin, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Jamshoro are expected to remain between 44 and 47 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>The Meteorological Department warned that electricity demand and consumption may also increase during the heatwave, urging citizens to avoid unnecessary use of electricity.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Karachi is expected to record temperatures between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, while temperatures may rise between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the department, southwesterly sea breezes are expected to continue in Karachi on Monday and Tuesday, bringing some relief to the city\u2019s weather conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a severe heatwave alert for Sindh, warning that temperatures in several districts of the province may rise up to 50 degrees Celsius.
