Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that an attempt is being made to unnecessarily link the alleged abduction and sexual assault case involving foreign women to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rana Sanaullah said the matter was being exaggerated and that efforts were being made to turn a non-issue into an issue.<\/p>\n

He said every individual is responsible for their own words and actions, adding that certain elements were highlighting the case for a specific agenda.<\/p>\n

According to Rana Sanaullah, the foreign women have already recorded their statements under Section 164 and the investigation agency has complete evidence in the case.<\/p>\n

He said no further material is required to proceed with the case, as the Section 164 statement is sufficient to support prosecution. However, the women can be called again if needed.<\/p>\n

Rana Sanaullah also rejected Faisal Vawda’s demand for Ishaq Dar’s resignation, calling it entirely baseless.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lahore DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that during the search for the foreign women in Lahore, the suspect’s vehicle was involved in an accident. The women then exited the vehicle and went into a nearby store, where police also arrived shortly afterward.<\/p>\n

The DIG said the suspect escaped, while the women were taken into custody. So far, 8 suspects have been arrested in the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
