{"id":22717,"date":"2026-07-09T13:10:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T08:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=22717"},"modified":"2026-07-09T13:10:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T08:10:41","slug":"us-struck-iran-in-response-to-ship-attacks-consequences-will-be-more-severe-if-repeated-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=22717","title":{"rendered":"US Struck Iran in Response to Ship Attacks, Consequences Will Be More Severe If Repeated: Trump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>US President Donald Trump has said that the United States carried out attacks on Iran in response to alleged Iranian strikes on maritime vessels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump warned Iran that if such actions were repeated, the consequences would be far more severe.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the US president had threatened further strikes on Iran but ruled out the possibility of launching a full-scale war against Tehran.<\/p>\n<p>Trump had also said that the United States could take control of Iran&#8217;s Kharg Island.<\/p>\n<p>US Vice President JD Vance also warned Iran that any attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz would trigger a response from the US military.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a news briefing in Washington, Vance said US attacks would continue until Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz and stopped firing on ships.<\/p>\n<p>He said the basic agreement was that if Iran fired on vessels, the United States would respond with overwhelming force.<\/p>\n<p>The US vice president said Iran must honour the agreement or face the same consequences it experienced the previous night.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the US military has carried out fresh airstrikes in several Iranian areas, including Sirik, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, Konarak, Iranshahr and Abu Musa Island.<\/p>\n<p>The US military said the additional strikes were being conducted in response to recent alleged Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and their crews passing through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>According to the US military, the bombing campaign aims to limit Iran&#8217;s ability to threaten the free movement of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian media reported that a projectile fragment fell on Imam Ali Hospital during the US attack on Chabahar, while strikes on a maritime traffic control tower and a depot were also reported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US President Donald Trump has said that the United States carried out attacks on Iran in response to alleged Iranian strikes on maritime vessels.
