\u00a0MQM-Pakistan senior leader and Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal has once again criticized party chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, claiming that he prevented Waseem Akhtar from becoming the Governor of Sindh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the party’s General Workers’ meeting, Mustafa Kamal said that MQM-Pakistan has decided to completely transform the country’s existing governance model by constitutionally transferring powers and resources to the doorsteps of the people, adding that Pakistan’s survival depends on such a system.<\/p>\n

He stated that MQM-Pakistan believes in the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law, urging party workers to continue their political struggle within the constitutional and legal framework.<\/p>\n

The Federal Minister said that the Sindh government has received Rs22 trillion from the federal government over the past 18 years but has still failed to provide basic facilities to Karachi, Hyderabad, and other urban areas of Sindh. He announced that a protest movement for the rights of urban Sindh would begin on July 26.<\/p>\n

Referring once again to Waseem Akhtar, Mustafa Kamal said that Waseem Akhtar was not present at the meeting and that there is a perception that the two have differences. He maintained that this was not the case, explaining that while they had disagreements before he joined MQM-Pakistan, which were publicly expressed during television talk shows and public gatherings, he no longer held any personal resentment after joining the party. He further claimed that Waseem Akhtar’s differences were with Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, not with him.<\/p>\n

Mustafa Kamal further alleged that whenever Waseem Akhtar’s name comes up, he recalls what Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui personally told him. According to Kamal, when Waseem Akhtar expressed his desire to become the Governor of Sindh, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who was the party convener at the time, arranged a meeting with the Prime Minister, prepared a letter, and presented it during the meeting, stating that MQM-Pakistan had nominated Waseem Akhtar for the position of Sindh Governor.<\/p>\n

He further claimed that as the meeting concluded and the Prime Minister came to see the MQM-Pakistan delegation off, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stepped back and quietly told the Prime Minister not to act on the letter he had submitted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
