{"id":23030,"date":"2026-07-24T14:46:22","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23030"},"modified":"2026-07-24T14:46:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:46:22","slug":"icc-confirms-2027-world-test-championship-final-moved-from-lords-to-the-oval","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23030","title":{"rendered":"ICC Confirms 2027 World Test Championship Final Moved from Lord&#8217;s to The Oval"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the 2027 ICC World Test Championship Final will be held at The Oval in London instead of the historic Lord&#8217;s Cricket Ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the ICC, the final is scheduled to take place from <strong>9 to 13 June 2027<\/strong> at The Oval.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the ICC awarded England the hosting rights for the 2027, 2029 and 2031 World Test Championship finals, with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) responsible for selecting the venue for each edition.<\/p>\n<p>It had been widely expected that the 2027 final would once again be staged at Lord&#8217;s, but the ECB has opted to host the match at The Oval instead.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, concerns over the quality of the pitch at Lord&#8217;s were among the key reasons behind the decision. Last month, the venue received its first ICC demerit point after the pitch used for the England-New Zealand Test match was rated below standard.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the second time The Oval hosts the World Test Championship Final.
