Islamabad: Pakistan received more than $763 million in external financing during July 2026, the first month of the current fiscal year 2026-27, including $744.6 million in loans and $18.3 million in grants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a report issued by the Economic Affairs Division, the external funds received during July were equivalent to approximately Rs214.99 billion in Pakistani currency.<\/p>\n

Of the total amount, around Rs209.88 billion was received in the form of loans, while grants accounted for approximately Rs5.10 billion.<\/p>\n

The report showed that external financing increased by 10% in July 2026 compared with the corresponding month of July 2025.<\/p>\n

However, external financing declined sharply by 81% compared with June 2026, when the government had received more than $4 billion from external sources.<\/p>\n

According to the Economic Affairs Division, bilateral countries provided $19.6 million during July 2026, while various international institutions contributed $252.8 million.<\/p>\n

Pakistan also borrowed $343.9 million through Naya Pakistan Certificates during the month, accounting for a significant portion of the overall external financing.<\/p>\n

The World Bank provided $130 million in loans to Pakistan during July, while the Asian Development Bank extended $59.1 million.<\/p>\n

China also provided $146.6 million in guaranteed loans to Pakistan during July 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
