{"id":23587,"date":"2026-09-04T15:22:40","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T10:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23587"},"modified":"2026-09-04T15:22:40","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T10:22:40","slug":"pakistan-returns-to-global-markets-with-record-3-billion-eurobond-issuance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23587","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan returns to global markets with record $3 billion Eurobond issuance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Islamabad: Pakistan has issued $3 billion worth of international Eurobonds, marking what the Ministry of Finance described as a major step in the country&#8217;s return to global capital markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, the $3 billion transaction is the largest single international bond issuance in Pakistan&#8217;s history, with investor demand reaching nearly twice the amount offered.<\/p>\n<p>The issuance will provide Pakistan with $3 billion in external financing, which the government plans to use to meet external financing requirements and repay debt.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan had earlier issued a $500 million Eurobond this year.<\/p>\n<p>Under the latest transaction, Pakistan raised $1.75 billion through a 5.5-year Eurobond carrying a coupon rate of 7.50%.<\/p>\n<p>Another $1.25 billion was raised through a 10-year Eurobond with a coupon rate of 7.90%.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Finance said strong participation from international investors reflected renewed confidence in Pakistan and marked significant progress in restoring the country&#8217;s access to global capital markets.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan has also issued a bond for the first time under its new Global Medium-Term Note programme.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, the government&#8217;s strategy focuses on sovereign debt management, with an emphasis on securing longer-term financing to reduce refinancing and rollover risks.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry said the record Eurobond transaction had strengthened Pakistan&#8217;s return to international financial markets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: Pakistan has issued $3 billion worth of international Eurobonds, marking what the Ministry of Finance described as a major step in the country&#8217;s return to global capital markets.
