{"id":23659,"date":"2026-09-09T13:49:29","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T08:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23659"},"modified":"2026-09-09T13:49:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T08:49:29","slug":"export-led-economic-growth-is-governments-top-priority-pm-shehbaz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23659","title":{"rendered":"Export-led economic growth is government&#8217;s top priority: PM Shehbaz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said export-led economic growth remains a top priority for the government and directed officials to review the possibility of extending the super tax exemption for exporters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of prominent industrialists and business leaders, where proposals aimed at promoting export-led growth were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Shehbaz Sharif welcomed suggestions from the business community, saying the meeting was intended to consult stakeholders on ways to strengthen an export-driven economy.<\/p>\n<p>He said the government was taking effective measures to improve the ease of doing business, while reducing energy costs remained among its key priorities.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister said fundamental economic reforms had been undertaken through consultation despite difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Federal Board of Revenue had recovered Rs800 billion through enforcement measures over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Shehbaz Sharif said efforts by the government&#8217;s economic team had resulted in a significant improvement in Pakistan&#8217;s macroeconomic conditions.
