{"id":23741,"date":"2026-09-11T16:31:24","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T11:31:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23741"},"modified":"2026-09-11T16:31:24","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T11:31:24","slug":"five-militants-including-key-iskp-commander-killed-in-peshawar-ctd-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23741","title":{"rendered":"Five militants, including key ISKP commander, killed in Peshawar CTD operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed to have killed five militants, including a key commander of the banned Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), during an operation in the Urmar area near Shamshatoo Camp in Peshawar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the CTD, key ISKP commander Imran alias Abu Bakr was among those killed in the operation.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the militants were allegedly planning major attacks targeting sensitive institutions, imambargahs and churches.<\/p>\n<p>The CTD said an SMG, four pistols, two hand grenades, an improvised explosive device, five magazines and ammunition were recovered following the operation.<\/p>\n<p>According to CTD officials, Imran alias Abu Bakr was a proclaimed offender wanted in 20 cases involving terrorism, bombings and targeted killings.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said he was also wanted in cases involving the killings of Maulana Khanzeb, Senator Hidayatullah and Rehan Zeb, as well as the February 6, 2026 suicide bombing at the Tarlai Imambargah.<\/p>\n<p>The CTD alleged that Imran had arranged a suicide vest from Bajaur for the Tarlai attack and transported the suicide bomber from Nowshera to Tarlai.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said a reward of Rs12 million had been announced for information leading to Imran&#8217;s arrest or whereabouts.<\/p>\n<p>A search and clearance operation remains underway in the area, according to the CTD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed to have killed five militants, including a key commander of the banned Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), during an operation in the Urmar area near Shamshatoo Camp in Peshawar.
