{"id":23811,"date":"2026-09-16T13:47:55","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T08:47:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23811"},"modified":"2026-09-16T13:47:55","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T08:47:55","slug":"saudi-air-defences-destroy-houthi-drone-attempting-to-enter-makkah-airspace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakalerts.net\/english\/?p=23811","title":{"rendered":"Saudi air defences destroy Houthi drone attempting to enter Makkah airspace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Saudi Arabia&#8217;s military coalition has said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone attempting to enter Makkah&#8217;s airspace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Saudi-led coalition, the drone was intercepted before it could enter the restricted airspace surrounding Makkah and was successfully destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition said the protection of the Two Holy Mosques was a \u201cred line\u201d and that necessary measures would be taken against threats posed by the Houthis.<\/p>\n<p>Coalition spokesperson Maj Gen Turki al-Maliki said it was the second attempt by the Houthis to target Makkah.
