According to US media, the package includes 40,000 bombs weighing 2,000 pounds each, including 20,000 MK-84 bombs and 20,000 BLU-117 bombs. The sale also includes 20,000 I-2000 penetrator warheads.<\/p>\n

The MK-84 is considered one of the most destructive weapons in Western military arsenals. Its explosion can send metal fragments thousands of feet in every direction, and the bomb is capable of penetrating metal and hard concrete.<\/p>\n

According to an American newspaper, the size of this package exceeds all previous agreements made during the Biden and Trump administrations for the sale of 2,000-pound weapons to Israel.<\/p>\n

Israel has used these 2,000-pound bombs hundreds of times in Gaza and Lebanon, and their use has played a significant role in deaths during the conflicts. Israel has also faced strong international criticism for dropping MK-84 bombs on areas in Gaza designated as safe for civilians.<\/p>\n
