The petitioner maintained that Afridi was being held unlawfully and that neither an emergency nor governor\u2019s rule justified the illegal detention of a chief minister.<\/p>\n<p>The court asked the parties whether the chief minister was under arrest or had been named in any case.<\/p>\n<p>It sought reports from the Inspector General of Police, the Capital City Police Officer, the chief secretary and the home secretary.<\/p>\n<p>The court directed that a report on Afridi\u2019s whereabouts and status be submitted within 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>Further hearing of the case was adjourned until November 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Peshawar High Court has issued a written order on a petition challenging Sohail Afridi\u2019s alleged detention, directing senior officials to submit a report within 10 days.
