Supreme Court’s five-member larger bench to hear petitions against the three-member commission investigating the leaked audios today.
\nChief Justice Umar Ata Bandial had formed a five-member larger bench to hear the petitions against the commission investigating the leaked audios.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will preside over the bench, while the other members include Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Ajaz-ul-Ahsan, Justice Shahid Wahid, and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi.<\/p>\n

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Supreme Court Bar President Abid Zubairi, Riaz Hanif Rahi, and Muqtadir Shabeer have filed petitions against the Judicial Commission.<\/p>\n

Imran Khan has requested through Advocate Babar Awan in the constitutional petition that the formation of the Judicial Commission be declared null and void.<\/p>\n

Supreme Court Bar President Abid Zubairi has also challenged the notice from the Audios Commission in his petition, forming a team consisting of the Federation, Audios Commission, PEMRA, and the PTI. He argues that it is a violation of the notification rules.<\/p>\n

Abid Zubairi has taken a stance in his petition that the surveillance or tapping of any citizen’s phone is not allowed, and the notification of the Audios Commission is a violation of Articles 9, 14, 18, 19, and 25.
