Karachi:\u00a0MQM-Pakistan’s leader and former MNA Kanwar Naveed Jamil has passed away at the age of 60 after a prolonged illness. He had been under treatment at a private hospital for several months due to a brain hemorrhage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to deteriorating health over the past few days, Kanwar Naveed Jamil was shifted to a private hospital on Stadium Road.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that Kanwar Naveed Jamil had previously served as the Mayor of Hyderabad and a parliamentary leader for MQM-Pakistan. He also held the position of Deputy Convener of MQM-Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Kanwar Naveed Jamil was born on March 15, 1964, in Karachi. He was first elected as a member of the National Assembly in 1990 and later elected to the provincial assembly in 2002.<\/p>\n

In 2005, he resigned from the provincial assembly and was elected as the Mayor of Hyderabad. In 2015, Kanwar Naveed Jamil was once again elected as a member of the National Assembly. He defeated Imran Ismail in the 2015 elections and was re-elected to the provincial assembly in 2018.<\/p>\n
