The Supreme Court will hear arguments today on a petition seeking to officially declare the general elections scheduled for February 8 null and void.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will preside over a three-member bench to hear the petition. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musarat Hilali will be part of the bench.<\/p>\n

During the hearing, there is also a possibility of reviewing the allegations made by former Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaqat Ali Chatha.<\/p>\n

The petition filed by Brigadier (Retd) Ali Khan appeals that electoral malpractice, coupled with delays in results, poses a threat to democratic principles.
