Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered to accelerate crackdown on electricity theft and overbilling to effectively curb the menace.

Under the supervision of Mohsin Naqvi, a meeting was held at the FIA Lahore Zone office, where a review of actions taken against power theft and electricity thieves was conducted.<\/p>\n

Federal Interior Minister reviewed the directives issued during the previous session, while FIA Lahore Director Sarfraz Work briefed the attendees.<\/p>\n

Mohsin Naqvi directed that impartial action should be taken against officers burdening civilians through overbilling. The zero-tolerance policy on overbilling will continue.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the punishment for negligence and incompetence of discos (electricity distribution companies) is not acceptable to the citizens, and providing relief to electricity consumers is a priority.<\/p>\n
