Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that a group of people make decisions that halt the country\u2019s progress. She addressed the judges of the Supreme Court, saying they should let the country run its course, and that those they want to bring back are criminals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a speech in Lahore on Friday, Maryam criticized the Supreme Court\u2019s decision that allowed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to claim the reserved seats in parliament.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to ask the SC judges to let the country function,\u201d Maryam Nawaz said.<\/p>\n

Nawaz commented that the decisions are not made by the conscience and the constitution, but rather to favor a defeated person. She said that Imran Khan\u2019s party, PTI, was given even more than what they demanded.<\/p>\n

She warned that if anyone tries to create political instability, they will be dealt with firmly.<\/p>\n

Maryam Nawaz also stated that whenever the country is progressing, someone or the other starts facing problems. She reiterated that the government will complete its full five-year term.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho are those (people) who do not like the country making progress and re-write the Constitution,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She alleged the apex court judges rewritten the constitution to bring one person back to mainstream politics.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will not let this be a cakewalk for you. This government will complete its five-year tenure. If anyone tries to create political instability, they will be dealt with iron hands,\u201d Nawaz warned.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was said that verdicts were announced according to their conscience,\u201d Maryam Nawaz noted.<\/p>\n

Nawaz criticized the SC\u2019s decision, stating that the court gave the PTI relief the party did not seek. She said the SC judges gave the PTI 15 days to submit affidavits claiming their affiliation, even though they had already submitted documents affirming allegiance to another party.<\/p>\n

She referred to Imran Khan, the PTI leader, as \u201cthe nation\u2019s criminal\u201d, questioning where he had been launched and where he was sourcing his funds. She said a group of people made decisions that halted the country\u2019s development process.<\/p>\n

The PML-N leader also argued that the law and Constitution do not allow floor crossing. Still, the SC\u2019s ruling said \u201cYou can commit floor crossing\u201d, contradicting the legal and constitutional provisions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
