Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Syed Amir Raza visited Mazar-e-Iqbal on the occasion of Defense Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A grand ceremony was held at Mazar-i-Iqbal regarding Defense Day.<\/p>\n

DG Rangers Punjab welcomed Corps Commander Lahore on his arrival at Mazar-i-Iqbal.<\/p>\n

Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Syed Amir Raza laid a wreath at Mazar-e-Iqbal and recited Fatiha.<\/p>\n

He also prayed for the country’s security and prosperity on this occasion.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Najmi Kazmi, sister of Major Shabbir Shaheed, said that the sacrifices of martyrs should never be forgotten, we should be proud of our country, and freedom demands sacrifice.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Taimur Shabir, son of Major Shabir Shaheed, said that he pays tribute to his father Major Shabir Shaheed.<\/p>\n

Salutation at the grave of Major Sirmus Rauf Shaheed Basalt medal<\/h3>\n

On the occasion of Defense Day, a salute was offered at the grave of Major Sirmus Rauf Shaheed Tamgha Basalat in Lahore.<\/p>\n

Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh, Bishop of Lahore Kamran Nadeem, and others placed flowers on the grave.<\/p>\n

The Chief of Army Staff laid a floral wreath on the grave of the martyr.<\/p>\n

Leaders of different religions and sects paid homage to the martyrs of the country.<\/p>\n

Major Sirmus Rauf was martyred in South Waziristan<\/h3>\n

Major Sirmus Rauf was commissioned in the Pakistan Army on 11 September 1987.<\/p>\n

He died on September 13, 2007, due to an explosive device explosion during a search operation in South Waziristan.<\/p>\n

Major Sirmus Rauf Shaheed was awarded the Basalat Medal.<\/p>\n
