DG Immigration and Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi, giving good news regarding passports, said that the backlog of issuing passports in major cities of the country has ended.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his statement, he said that he is grateful to the citizens for treating the passport office with a smile, there was a delay in the delivery of passports which we accepted as a challenge, and we had limited resources in terms of printing.<\/p>\n

DG Passport said that 65,000 passports are being processed daily, but 23,000 are being printed daily. Inshallah, the shipment of new printers is expected to arrive in Pakistan in a month, after which the process of issuing passports will be completely normal. It will happen.<\/p>\n

He said that we have given passports in big cities first to those people who have to visit abroad a lot, the back lock of passports has been abolished in all big cities including Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.<\/p>\n

Mustafa Jamal Qazi said that the backlog of passports applied online from abroad has also been resolved, more than 24 thousand passports have been delivered to overseas Pakistanis. Focusing.<\/p>\n

He said that due to the revamping process of the passport office, there had been delays in issuance. A new dashboard for the passport office and new printers are being procured.
