Islamabad: In the GHQ attack case, the anti-terrorism court provided PTI founder Imran Khan with a copy of the challan, but the former prime minister refused to accept the charge sheet.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah came to Adiala Jail to supply copies to founder PTI. The charge sheet will be filed on November 8.
While denying the indictment, Imran Khan said that I have nothing to do with this case because I was under arrest.
On the other hand, due to Shah Mehmood Qureshi being in Lahore Jail, copies of the challan could not be distributed, due to which the issue of distribution of challan copies to the former foreign minister was avoided.
Copies of challan will be distributed to more accused in Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi.
Challan details
The challan details of the GHQ attack case have been obtained by Express, in which a total of 27 serious provisions have been imposed on the accused including founder chairman PTI Imran Khan.
According to the challan, the accused attacked the GHQ under the leadership of the former provincial law minister Raja Bisharat, the GHQ gate was stormed and the gate was broken, the army men forbade it but did not stop and continued vandalizing.
The accused broke sensitive military property and set it on fire, were attacked with sticks and stones, petrol bombs were also thrown. The accused broke the GHQ gate and entered inside and there was strong resistance from the forces, creating the conditions for rebellion in Pakistan.
GHQ gate was set on fire by burning petrol bombs and building windows were broken, reputation of Pak Army was damaged, military personnel were attacked. The slogans of uniforms and “Khan nahi to Pakistan nahi” were raised behind this terrorism.
The challan alleged that sensitive offices of ISI and GHQ buildings were attacked, demonstrations and protests were organized as part of organized criminal conspiracy. 6 accused were arrested on the spot and more arrests were made on their identification. In the challan, it was requested that the accused be given the most severe punishments.
