The 4-day international defense exhibition International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024 has started in Karachi, the capital of Sindh.
Speaking on the first day of the 4-day International Defense Exhibition Ideas 2024, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that he welcomes all the distinguished guests participating in the exhibition, delegates from all over the world will get the best benefit from the exhibition.
He said that Pakistan is a responsible country, Pakistan is playing its unique role for peace in the world, important issues including technical issues will be discussed in the exhibition.
He said that the economy in Pakistan is moving towards positive decimals, there are immense opportunities for investment and joint ventures in the country, Pakistan's defense industry is flourishing.
Promoting connectivity is essential for regional peace and socio-economic development, Pakistan believes in solving problems through dialogue.
The International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) was launched for the first time in the year 2000 and has been held on a regular basis since then.
Karachi has once again been chosen to host the country's largest defense exhibition and the 12th IDEAS is being held from November 19 to 22, becoming the largest defense equipment exhibition forum in the region.
It should be noted that in view of the defense exhibition, the Education Department of Sindh has announced the closure of educational institutions around Shahrah Faisal and Karsaz for 4 days in order to maintain traffic flow in Karachi. However, today is the morning of the first day of the exhibition. Heavy traffic jams were seen in these areas due to which citizens going to educational institutions and offices faced difficulties.
