The Prime Minister met China's Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong, Shahbaz Sharif condemned the incident of firing on Chinese citizens in Karachi and assured that those responsible will be punished soon.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, where he met Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong. The Prime Minister condemned the incident of firing on Chinese citizens in Karachi yesterday, saying that I have come to meet you to condemn this attack on Chinese citizens and to condole with the injured.
Shahbaz Sharif assured the Chinese ambassador that the culprits will be caught soon and they will be severely punished. He said that he had given instructions to provide the best medical facilities to the Chinese citizens injured in the incident. It is satisfactory that the health of the Chinese citizens injured in the incident is improving.
Shahbaz Sharif said that China is a long-time friend of Pakistan, the attack on Chinese citizens is a deliberate attempt to harm the Pakistan-China brotherly relations, the security of Chinese citizens working in Pakistan is the top priority of the government.
The Chinese ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for his visit to the embassy and expressed his hope that the Prime Minister will play his role in bringing those responsible for the incident to justice.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi were also with the Prime Minister.
