ISLAMABAD: A 9-member bench has broken down the case of self-notice taken for delay in elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after which a 5-member bench has heard.
When the hearing started, Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal said that 4 members of the bench have separated themselves from the bench.The remaining bench of the court will continue to hear the case. The court will continue the hearing for the interpretation of the constitution. What the Constitution says depends on interpretation. Will complete the hearing tomorrow in any case.
The Chief Justice asked Barrister Ali Zafar to inform whether the court can hear this case or not. Ali Zafar said that the Chief Minister of Punjab sent the summary of dissolution of the Assembly to the Governor.
Farooq H.Naik said that an application has been filed on the full court issue. Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial replied that your request will also be heard and dealt with.
