Another key suspect involved in the May attack on the GHQ Rawalpindi has been identified as Atif Mahmood Qureshi, a deputy president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Rawalpindi.
Atif Mahmood Qureshi resides in the Qureshian Seeham neighborhood of Rawalpindi. He threw a petrol bomb towards the main gate of the GHQ using an improvised explosive device (IED).
Atif Mahmood’s active role in inciting slogans against the state and engaging in vandalism has come to light. He is now under legal scrutiny for his involvement in the GHQ attack and anti-army sloganeering.
