Instagram, the popular photo and video sharing application, has introduced a new feature for its users, allowing them to download videos from the platform, especially reels.
Previously, Instagram had an option for downloading, but users could only download their own videos. To download other users’ videos and reels, they had to resort to copying the link and using third-party downloading software. However, with this new feature, their inconvenience has been eliminated.
Instagram users can now easily download any reel after watching it, without the need for any other software or application.
According to the technology website “Tech Crunge,” Instagram has placed this new download feature under the section where the option to share or save reels is available. With this feature, users will soon see the option for downloading along with sharing and link copying. Upon clicking, the reels will be downloaded right away.
An interesting aspect is that the downloaded video will not display the Instagram logo. However, if a user has edited and included their account name in the video, then it cannot be removed.
Instagram announced the launch of this new feature on June 21st. However, initially, this feature will not be available to users in all countries. The phased rollout will reach users in different countries, including Pakistan. In case someone doesn’t have access to this feature, they can update the application to the latest version and download it.
